INTRODUCTION – Due to the confidentiality between CV Folks and our client—the name of the company can not be disclosed. However, this case study is to provide an overview of how we quickly assessed the issue presented to us and creating a unique package that satisfied their requirements in regards to time restraints, budget and customer support.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY – Designing and delivering 70 resumes for various staff members within a medium-sized product-driven organization while providing superior on-going customer support in areas of job search planning, resume editing and strategic consultation for long-term success. The organization was laying off employees stemming from ramifications due to COVID whom included customer service staff, internal support staff (administrative), HR and several managers.
STRATEGY USED – We implemented a customer-friendly approach during this project. Our focus was to quickly assess the client’s needs through zoom consultations—speaking to multiple team members including staff from HR, Administrations and Company Leadership. In learning as much as we could about the organization, we could properly develop a strategy that was unique to them—offering exceptional value and adhering to their budget requirements.
However, we also devised a time-efficient strategy to compile/manage the staffs’ information (before writing their resumes) and developing/scheduling multiple group sessions highlighting areas of job search planning and interview preparation as well as keeping a positive attitude during the job search process.
RESULTS – This was the first time this particular client utilized these types of services. They had many questions about the process and wanted to truly get a lot of value for their investment. However, the overall project was a success because we were meticulous in uncovering pain points during the initial services/product presentation. We also followed up with questions in order to make sure everything was ready when we received the required information (from their staff).
Although the staff was obviously unsure about their job search after being laid-off, they were very happy with their resumes and the zoom sessions that we held for them. Also, a major key to this whole project was maintaining a high level of clear communications and continually finding ways to add value to the services rendered (i.e., being available to staff even after their have fully left the organization.)
